Uninterruptible Power Supplies of PS series
UPS ON LINE of PS series with the power output range from 1000VA
up to 5000 VA are designed for an uninterruptible supply of computer systems and equipments
with high demands on the input voltage quality and reliable operation. Optional accessories
provided with the UPS are modules used for a communication with the supply system.
PS series are noted for a high stability of the output voltage 230 V ±1%
at a mains input voltage floating and also at a load change. The UPS stabilizes the voltage
and switches to the back-up mode in case of a mains failure or of a voltage drop below a
limited level that depends on the connected load on the UPS output. The level of
the mains input voltage is in the range of 99 V - 260 V.
The UPS was developed using high technologies and modern component
base. The circuit solution is of an on-line type with a double conversion based on a
pulse-width modulation with a high working frequency. This enables to reach a high level
and a shape input voltage stability and an effective interference suppression.
It is possible to connect an optional complete load with the power factor of 0,6 up to 1
to the output.
All important functions are controlled by a microprocessor. UPS are fitted with a built-in
communication with the PC, a programmable switching-on/off,
a possibility of configuration of some parametersdisconnect and they are fitted with
BY-PASS.
Switching to the back-up mode is automatic with the transfer time
of 0 seconds. The energy source in the back-up mode is a built-in, leaded,
sealed, maintenance free battery. The back-up time depends on the size of the
connected load and the number of connected external battery modules.

PS 30NX, PS 40NX, PS 50NX
When a customer requests a longer back-up time, we recommned to install following
configuration:
- PS 30NRS (PS 40NRS, PS 50NRS) power supply
- batteries designed according to power output of the used UPS and requested back-up time
- protection and power distributions
PS 30N(RS)T7, PS 30N(RS)T8, PS 40N(RS)T8, PS 50N(RS)T8
The mechanical and electric parameters of the UPS power supplies are identical with
parameters stated in previous tables. They are adapted for the operation of external
batteries 110 Vdc or 220 V dc . UPS PS 30NT7, PS 30NT8,
PS 40NT8, PS 50NT8 have isolating transformers mounted directly in the power
supplies on the input mains. UPS PS 30NRST7, PS 30 NRST8, PS 50NRST8 include
transformers in the rack together with the UPS.

Modules RP 215(R), RP 230(R)
The modules RP are a switching-over equipment, whose function is to ensure a co-operation of
two supplying UPS which are connected in the MASTER (superior – the mains) - SLAVE
(subordinate – the second supply that operates in case of a mains failure) hierarchy .
The RP switches over the supplied equipment so that this switching-over is not registered at
all and thereby it guarantees the system redundancy.
Module HC 20
The HC20 module is designed to monitor back-up UPS by ELTECO, a.s. company on the serial
RS 232/422/485 link and at the same time it is equipped with a status interface informing about
basic statuses, in which the UPS is present.
Module HC 10
The HC10 module is a programmable control unit designed for a remote control (start and
switching off) of the genset, in dependence on the UPS status and on the input mains.
The module is designed to be built-in into the UPS of PS normalised series, designed to be
built-in into the 19" rack.
Module HV 02
An acoustic module that signals by voice the UPS status, normally it is built-in in
the PS 30-50N, as an optional accessory it can be built-in into the PS 10-20N.
These accessories can be requested directly when ordering the UPS or ordered additionally,
the assembly is then realised by a service technician from ELTECO, a.s. company.
